v16.0 has no runtime dependency on any single music website. It searches SHIYIN's learned local index, Openverse, Internet Archive and Wikimedia Commons by default, with optional Jamendo, ccMixter, RSS/Atom, open-web discovery and your own JSON sources. Successful public sources are learned locally; failing providers are circuit-broken and alternate sources for the same track can take over automatically.
Core open providers work without configuration. Add optional sources from “Source engine” without creating a new single point of failure.

JSON sources can be searched directly. RSS/Atom feeds or public web pages are read through Source Bridge. Remote scripts are never executed.

JSON fields: title/name, artist/creator, url/src, cover, tags, quality, format, lyrics, availability, downloadable, downloadUrl and licenseUrl.

SHIYIN · Source engine settings

These are SHIYIN's own pluggable sources; i.webos.im is not a runtime dependency. Source Bridge is only for public RSS/web/ccMixter discovery. Jamendo uses your own developer Client ID.

Core open sources enabledLearned index: loading

The learned index stores public-source metadata, URLs and success/failure history locally; it does not upload music files. Providers failing 3 times cool down for 10 minutes.

SHIYIN is a lightweight player designed primarily for local audio and video. Online results come from third-party public services and user-configured authorized JSON sources. Some providers expose full media files while others expose previews only; availability and continuity are not guaranteed. Downloads are enabled only when the source exposes a downloadable file.

Users are responsible for the media they import, access and use, and must not use this software to infringe the rights of others.

For license verification, the player records a device identifier, device name and activation time. Your library, playback history and local media remain on your device and are not automatically uploaded to our server.
